Team Aon wanted a content managed / driven website to keep fans up to speed with the latest news from the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship).

Team Aon : Project overview

This website was built in time for the 2009 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC). Team Aon raced the Ford Focus and needed a new website to keep in touch with fans, publish the latest news and build a database of fans.

How we helped on this project

We worked on this project with one of our creative partners, Design Remedy. They came up with the visuals for the website, we bought them to life using XHTML, Javascript and our own Content Management System (CMS). With a large fanbase, powerful and reliable web hosting was a must. We host Team Aon's website on our own UK based servers.

Javascript complementing design

It was important that the website carried the distinctive Team Aon brand into the online environment. To make the user experience more interactive we built custom Javascript functions to highlight menu items, add dropdown menus and slideshows.

User Registration and Database

To access the Team Aon gallery, you first have to sign up with your email, password and a few details that may be useful to Ford about when the user is considering purchasing a new vehicle.

This information is stored in a MySQL database and the Team Aon management team can download the database in spreadsheet format.
