Accountancy Career Advance is an accountancy jobseeker website designed to bring a fresh, user friendly approach to finding jobs online.

Accountancy Career Advance : Project overview

Accountancy Career Advance is a website where candidates and recruiters can sign up to search for jobs or post vacancies.

The website has loads of advanced features including AJAX functionality, advanced search and data management functionality. It's designed from the bottom up to compete with the big name brands in the marketplace.

How we helped on this project

This project was commissioned by one of our creative partners: Doublelix, a London based agency. We designed the application architecture, data structures then built the website, both front and back-end. The website visuals and branding were designed by another of our creative partners, Design Remedy.

Coming soon

We're working on the final version of the Career Advance website to launch in 2010.

Online profiles with privacy settings

Candidates can enter their profile information, then choose who they make it available to.

We also created profiles for recruiters, enabling them to befriend each other and built a recruitment community.

Advanced search functionality

We built a flexible and powerful search feature. It is built with performance in mind, enabling visitors to search through thousands of candidates or jobs quickly and without putting too much load on the server.

AJAX autocompletion feature

We used a database of over 25,000 UK Towns to enable recruiters to accurately list vacancies. Of course we couldn't list all of these, so we created an AJAX autocompletion feature. When you begin typing the name of a town, it asynchronously retrieves matching towns and lists them below. You then click on the town you were looking for to select it.

Live statistics

Using optimized database queries the website automatically retrieves the top 5 recruiters and live vacancy statistics from the database.

If you're logged in these are customised for you, so it will tell you how many jobs are available in your chosen specialty for example.
